[B][U]Basic Function [/U][/B]: The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for managing multiple engineering teams and projects at EBSCO Hyderabad, and for serving as liaison between EP and NES.
[B][U]Essential Functions [/U][/B]:
[B][U]People Management [/U][/B]: 
** Recruiting development and QA engineers for various project teams 
** Identifying training needs and working with engineers in Hyderabad or in Ipswich to arrange for training 
** Conducting performance appraisals
[B][U]Project Execution[/U][/B]: 
** Working with Ipswich teams to identify requirements and communicating these to engineers in Hyderabad
** Reviewing technical architectures and designs to ensure that solutions have good foundation and longevity
** Enforcing good development practices 
** Identifying project execution issues and removing roadblocks 
** Reporting project status and project execution metrics to Ipswich teams, Director EBSCO Hyderabad, and NES Management 
[B][U]Liaison Role [/U][/B]: 
** Working with NES Management to resolve operational roadblocks
** Addressing people issues 
** Reporting anticipated infrastructural needs to NES management to get timely resolution
[B][U]Level of degree required [/U][/B]: Bachelors degree
[B][U]Required Qualifications [/U][/B]: 
** 8-10 years of software development experience 3-4 years managing software development teams
** 3-4 years managing software projects 
** Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
[B][U]Preferred Qualifications [/U][/B]:  
** Proven experience delivering projects for external clients in a consulting environment 
** Experience with collecting and reporting project metrics 
** Experience working with clients in the United States or Europe 
** Strong technical skills in a variety of technologies like Java, .Net, RDBMSs 
** Strong technical recruitment skills 
** Strong people management skills 
** Outstanding communication skills
