The job requires extensive travel and candidates with good contacts in schools may apply.

[B][U]Detailed Description [/U][/B]: Scalability in Education (SiE) is the “technology division” of EZ Vidya. The role of Associate in SiE is to research, develop, and test low-cost / high-impact IT systems for rollout to private and government schools. You will be expected to contribute immediately on a variety of platforms and projects, including Linux, MySQL, and TechMate, EZ Vidya’s custom learning application. We’re looking for someone to grow with us for several years, in a fast-paced environment where ability to learn and flexibility are as important as coding skills. You will work with the latest gadgets, including connecting Android tablets and smart phones to our datacenter in the cloud. You will be required to perform a range of tasks, from developing new HTML/PHP pages, updating SQL queries to configuring deployment servers. Of course at the end of the day only one thing matters – better outcomes (i.e. smiles) for children!
[B][U]Key Skills [/U][/B]: Good understanding of IT systems principles, knowledge of at least two of the following technologies: Java, Javascript, HTML, PHP, SQL, Flash, Moodle, Drupal. A positive attitude, willingness to try new things, good communication in English and one or more Indian languages, and a desire to do something other than “join an IT major” is a must.
