Physical Education [B][U]Preferred applicants will hold the following skills, qualifications and attributes[/U][/B]: ** Committed, practising Christians ** Fluent in English ** Suitably qualified - degree plus education diploma/certificate (preferred) ** Prior experience of A level / IGCSE or comparable curriculum ** Willing to serve on local Indian salaries ** Willing to participate fully in the life of a busy boarding school (including extra-curricular activities and Dorm Parenting or support) If you are interested in applying for any of the above positions or even wish to have your details on record should a suitable position become available, please first complete the Preliminary Staff Application Form and email it as an attachment to the Human Resources Department. [B][U]Staff application procedure[/U][/B]: Prospective staff are asked to fill in the ‘preliminary staff application form’ which can be found on the school website (or direct from Hebron) and return this as soon as possible to the Principal. If this seems suitable then the Principal will ask you to fill in the full application forms, take up references and arrange an interview. This may be conducted by our Hebron Link representatives with the assistance of former staff members (and the Principal whenever possible) in your home country, or via Skype or phone. The final decision to appoint lies with the Hebron Schools’ Association Council which receives a report from the interview panel along with all the other relevant paperwork. Please note that this process can take from 6 to 8 weeks. It may try your patience and sense of humour – but these are other essential characteristics for Hebron staff! We normally expect a three-year contract in the first instance with it becoming renewable at two-year intervals thereafter. Occasionally shorter contract periods can be negotiated. [B][U]Professional Staff – essential criteria[/U][/B]: ** Committed evangelical Christian (Hebron is non-denominational and not run by any single Church or M’n organisation) ** Relevant degree and teaching qualification (and, preferably, some teaching experience but we will consider newly qualified teachers) ** Fluent in English ** Evidence of competence with the English National Curriculum (or comparable curriculum, and a willingness to learn) ** Good references / police check ** Adaptable and reliable, with a servant heart ** Willing to enter fully into the fulfilling life of a demanding and busy residential school: staff members are expected to be involved in pastoral care and / or extra-curricular activities such as sport, outward bounds, clubs, drama, music… in addition to their main responsibilities. ** If you are interested in Dorm Parenting then please understand that we also expect some involvement in other areas of Hebron life. ** Couples who are resident staff are both employed and both will be expected to have work responsibilities in Hebron, unless they have pre-school children. ** Hebron is a family school and so families find themselves drawn into our vibrant and purposeful life.
