[B][U]ELIGIBILITY   [/U][/B]:
    Should complete the age of 17 years by 31.12.2013 and should not exceed 23 by the said date.
    Pass in higher secondary examination or its equivalent in the first attempt with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology taken together and 60% marks in English separately.
    Those who appear for the qualifying examination in March / April 2013 can also apply.

[B][U]SELECTION     [/U][/B]:
Selection is based on the rank obtained in the All India entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

[B][U]ADMISSION PROCEDURE [/U][/B]: 
Candidates can apply online through Amrita Online Application Registration System (OARS) to MBBS 2013 courses and no other mode of application will be accepted.

[B][U]OARS Portal Registration is a 3-step process[/U][/B]:
    Register into OARS portal using a valid email - id
    Complete the online application form and submit. Enter payment of fee details (DD or Cash Voucher) , upload soft copy of photo and submit
    Print Confirmation Sheet in which Address Slip is attached – Separate the Address slip and paste it on an A5 envelope and mail the Confirmation Sheet along with DD or Copy of the Cash Voucher received from Amrita Office through Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier.

[B][U]Pre-Requisites for Applying Online[/U][/B]:
Before applying online, candidates should have-
    A valid Email ID (If you do not have an email address we recommend Gmail.)
    Scanned copy of recent (taken after 1st January 2013) passport size color photograph. Photograph should be taken in a white/light colored background. The image should be in JPEG format and also on a standard 4.5cm x 3.5 cm print. Maximum pixel resolution for JPEG: 640X480 (0.3 Mega pixel). Minimum pixel resolution for JPEG: 320x240
    Demand draft or Cash Voucher Details that is to be filled in Payment part of OARS portal. Application Fee is Rs. 1500

[B][U]Demand Draft[/U][/B]:
    Make payment of fee by way of Demand draft taken from any bank in favor of “Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham” payable at Kochi. The Demand draft is to be kept ready before filling the online form. The online application will prompt you to fill in (1) DD No, (2) Bank Name, (3) Branch, (4) Amount and (5) Date

[B][U]Cash Voucher[/U][/B]: 
    Candidates must download and print the “Cash Voucher” and fill in the relevant details. 
    
    Cash Voucher is in triplicate (Bank Branch Copy, Amrita Office Copy, & Candidates copy). Candidates have to fill in the required information and go to any branch of Federal Bank or Dhanlaxmi Bank and pay the amount of Rs. 1500 (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only). In addition to the application fee, service charges if any will also have to be paid by the candidate.
    
    After payment, the candidate’s copy and Amrita office copy of the cash voucher will be given back to the candidate by the concerned bank branch. Ensure that the Bank officials fill in the Bank code and Deposit Journal No. The following details of cash voucher are to be kept ready before filling the online application form. The online application will prompt you to fill in (1) Deposit Journal No; (2) Bank Name; (3) Bank Branch Name; (4) Branch Code No; (5) Date of Deposit
