  Application in the prescribed form are invited for admission to the courses of study in the North  Eastern Hill University for M.B.A. / B.A.LL.B.(Hons). / B.Tech. / M.Tech./ Ph.D. (Engg.) Programme commencing from August, 2013.
 
 [B][U]Eligibility Criteria [/U][/B]:   
 [B][U]MANAGEMENT[/U][/B]: Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme :   A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized  University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST). Those  appearing in the final examination and expecting their result by July 15, 2013 may also apply.  (Eligible candidates need to appear any of the MAT Tests (May, September, December, 2012  and February 2013). Candidates who are willing to take admission in the MBA Programme are  required to fill up the NEHU application form enclosing their respective MAT Score.
 
  [B][U]Ph.D.(Engg.)  [/U][/B]: As per rules of the University.
 
[B][U]M.Tech. in Information Technology[/U][/B]:  A candidates who have  passed B.E./B.Tech. in IT/CSE/ECE/EE or MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science /Electronics  having secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates.

[B][U]M.Tech. in Electronic Communication Engineering (ECE) [/U][/B]:  A  candidate who have passed B.E./B.Tech. in ECE/EE or M.Sc. in Electronics having secured a  minimum of 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates.
 
 [B][U]M.Tech. in Nanotechnology [/U][/B]: A candidate who have passed  B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Biomedical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Electronics &  Communication, Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering having 60% or 6.5  credit in 10 point scale and M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Material Science, Biotechnology with  60% credit in 10 points scale.
 
 [B][U]B.Tech[/U][/B]:
 (a) The minimum eligibility criteria for admission  into B.Tech. programme shall be such as prescribed by AICTE from time to time
 (b) A candidates must have valid positive JEE (Main) score.

[B][U]B.A.LL.B (HONS) [/U][/B]: 
(a) Candidates who have passed/have appeared/ are appearing the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent (such as 11+1). A level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent examination in any stream securing an aggregate of not less than 50% of the marks, relaxable by 5% for SC/ST shall be eligible to seek admission to the programme 
(b) The maximum age for seeking admission into the course is limited to 20 (twenty) years in case of general category of applicant and to 22 (twenty two ) years in case of applicant from Sc/ST and Other Backward Communities as on 1st August, 2013
(c) No student shall be allowed to simultaneously register for the course with any other graduate/post graduate/ certificate course(s) run by the university or any other university/institute for academic or professional learning provided that any short period part time certificate course on language, computer science or computer application of an institute or any course run by a Centre for Distance Learning or a university however, shall be accepted. The candidate will have to clear the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Department on 31st May, 2013 from 11.a.m. to 1 p.m. The list of the candidates eligible for entrance test will be published in the university website. No Admit Cards will be sent to the candidates.

1) Prospectus with prescribed application forms with can be obtained in person from the Receptionist, Administrative Building, Permanent Campus, Shillong – 793022 or from the office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, NEHU, Tura Campus, Tura-794002 during office hours on payment of `.600/- (for general category) and `.300/- (for SC/ST category) through University Challan/Banker’s Cheque/Bank Draft in favour of “ North Eastern Hill University “, Request for Prospectus (containing the admission form) by post should be addressed to the Section Officer (Academic), NEHU, Shillong, Permanent Campus, Shillong – 793022, accompanied by a self addressed envelope of 30 x25cm size affixing `.40/- postage stamp thereon and enclosing D.D. of `.600/- (for general category) and `.300/- (for SC/ST category).

2)  The admission forms may be downloaded from NEHU Website and filled-in application form along with the Demand Draft of the same amount can be sent to the respective
