The Goa Education Trust (GET) scholarship is a partnership between the Dempo and Fomento groups from Goa. GET aims to provide Goan students with a platform to undertake postgraduate study in the UK in any field of academic study. Since the introduction of the scholarship in 2010, recipients of the award have successfully completed their studies in a range of subjects including Journalism, Education, Ancient History and Law.

The scholarship covers full/ part tuition fees for the courses beginning September 2013.

* All other costs are to be borne by the students.

The Goa Education Trust (GET) 2013 is open for application. Deadline to submit the application is 15 May 2013.

[B][I][U]Eligibility [/U][/I][/B]:
[B][I][U]The applicant should[/U][/I][/B]:
**    Be an Indian national with a valid Indian passport, domiciled and resident in Goa, or born to Goan parents 
**    The candidate must be in India at the time of applying for the Scholarship
**    Confirmed admission for master's course of study in the UK for up to one year 
**    Be not more than 30 years old at the time of application
 **   Excellent track record in academic record and extracurricular achievements

[B][I][U]Application guidelines [/U][/I][/B]:
**    Fill the complete application form  
**    In addition to submitting the application, you will be required to submit the below mentioned documents
 **   Documentary proof of share of the applicant or the applicant’s parents in an ancestral property in Goa which is utilised as the family’s residence or business premises
 **   Documentary proof of birth certificate (born in Goa) of the applicant or any one of the applicant’s parents or grandparents
 **   A copy of your admission letter from the UK institution
 **   You should submit one academic and one professional reference letter, although recent graduates may submit two academic references
**    Two hard copies of reference letters of not more than one A4 size page each
 **   Applications not accompanied by the supporting documents will be rejected
 **   Do not send any other documents other than the reference letters, Goan status and a copy of your admission letter
