Khumbu Systems is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to support the company’s technical architecture initiatives.
As part of the overall technical architecture effort, the Senior Technical Architect is responsible for developing the technical strategy, architecture patterns and design and coding standards for the overall enterprise architecture. To those ends, the technical architect is not only responsible for directing technology and architecture, but is also responsible as a thought leader to set direction at the enterprise level.
[B]Skills [/B]:
 Bachelor (4 years) or Masters Degree in computer science, information management or a relevant discipline;
 8+ years experience designing and implementing outstanding technology systems and applications;
 Project management experience, a plus;
 
Knowledge and experience in systems modeling and design, software modeling and design, and software development;
 Proven experience in developing technical architectures as part of the overall enterprise architecture;
 Familiarity or experience in relational database technologies and familiarity with DB design;
 Familiarity with business modeling and UML activity models or some other equivalent;
 
Experience in leading and/or participating in Joint Application Design (JAD) session with business customers, business analysts, and DBAs in order to derive data requirements and data design information;
 Demonstrated ability to fully document technical specifications and related project or systems level documentation;
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
 Must be able to work effectively within a team and inspire team members;
 Must have the ability to work collaboratively across the organization toward the specific objectives of a particular business or IT domain Understanding of systems infrastructure and related service delivery processes (e.g. ITIL);
 Extensive knowledge of various design patterns;
 Extensive knowledge of both large and small scale system development;
 Experience in delivering successful systems within a variety of business sectors;
 
Proficient at implementing complex business logic requirements for large-scale business applications; i.e., high volume, complex calculations, and (or) high availability (24/7);
 Proficiency with web technologies (2.0 and prior);
 Proficiency with MS technologies (.NET, SQL Server and Visual Studio Team System) is a plus but not required.
