In this context the higher nos. of auxiliary involved makes the process smooth for uninterrupted power generation. So the stability of equipments is a great factor and also it effects directly the power generation. [b][b]MAJOR CHALLENGES [/b] [/b]: - High frequency of maintenance of equipments to make equipment healthier. - High nos. preventive, corrective & predictive maintenance work. - Co-ordination with operation departments for maintenance job in case of unscheduled or unplanned work for saving equipment from damage. - Having high nos. of equipment maintenance, maintaining the working quality and keeping the records is a great task. 3) Principal Accountabilities Accountability Supporting Actions [b]MAINTENANCE [/b]: [b][b]Shift Management [/b] [/b]: To meet customer demand i.e. all problems related to equipments by operation department, and shift activities. - Keep control over all preventive maintenance to achieve the equipment healthiness. - Co-ordinate shop floor personnel for system healthiness. - Co-ordinate with vendor people & motivate them for necessary maintenance activities. - Co-ordinate purchase department to avail the spare parts. - Co-ordinate with operation & other department. - Generate work order. Maintaining process and equipment healthiness To identify design fault/deficiencies in equipments and initiate correction, corrective and preventive action for the same. Ensure healthiness of other equipments relates to it. - Follow up for standard maintenance practices. - Follow up the maintenance work by online supervision. - Follow up the field supervision activities for equipment healthiness checking. - Co-coordinating operation departments for isolation of the equipment for maintenance work of same. - Listing and recording of the equipment by analyzing the SPM. [b][b]Carry out shift emergency activities. [/b] [/b]: To co-ordinate with operation, purchase & other department, for emergency & unplanned equipment failure or unit trip. - Co-ordinate with several departments in case of emergency equipment failure, tripping of units etc. - Collection and submission of necessary information to superior for subsequent actions. - Supervise and co-ordinate for necessary emergency maintenance job. - Control activities for providing best service to every work request. - Co-ordinate and supervise for availability of coal to boiler during total coal restriction. Adherence to Quality, Environment and Safety Standards. To execute the maintenance shift activities in line with quality, environment, safety and management system standards. - Ensure quality, environmental and safety standards followed during activities. - Co-ordinate and control over isolation of equipments. - Ensure implementation of SOP and WI at shop floor level. - Create awareness among shift personnel regarding safety aspects. - Ensuring use of PPE by the workmen. - Follow up for Regular House keeping of unit. Analysis of equipment trip and major failures - Analysis of trips and equipment failures and implementation of the recommendation to prevent.
