[B]India BIM Student Design Competition 2012  [/B]:
I–BIM Forum in association with Autodesk, academic partners and platinum sponsors strive to provide architecture, civil engineering and construction management students the skills and tools needed to succeed in their chosen profession of delivery and maintenance of the built environment.

In an effort to inspire learning through a real-world situation,  organizers are challenging students to create architectural and  structural designs of building as per the competition Design brief. The students need to use the Autodesk BIM portfolio of Products,  specifically Autodesk® Revit® Architecture and Autodesk® Revit®  Structure software.

Student teams (3 student’s per team) from all over  India are invited to submit their innovative and sustainable designs for  judging by jury of professionals, first at the Regional and then at the  National level.

[I][B]The Last date for submitting the Design is 30th September 2012.[/B][/I]

[B]Eligibility Requirements [/B]:
** The competition is open to fulltime students enrolled in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), and Deemed University approved architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering and related fields.
** Multi-disciplinary teams may be formed comprising students from various disciplines, like Architect, Civil and Structural. Students from 3-year and 4-year degree programs along with post-graduate students are eligible to form teams and participate in this competition. 
** Individual students are not eligible as students can only participate in teams. Teams of 3 students are eligible to participate in the competition (individual submissions or different team compositions are not allowed). 
** It is highly encouraged but not required that teams are cross-disciplinary from the same institution. Team members should be from the same institution.

[B]Software Requirements [/B]:
** Use of both of the following Autodesk® software products is required (either 2011 or 2012 version) :
    Autodesk® Revit® Architecture software
    Autodesk® Revit® Structure software
** Students can download free* versions of the software at the Autodesk Education Community.

[B]The following rules will govern the I-BIM Student Design Competition 2012 [/B]:
** There is no registration fees. Participation in the I-BIM Student Design Competition is free.
** The official language of the competition is English.
** The competition is open to fulltime/partime students enrolled in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) approved architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering and related fields. 
** Students from 3-year and 4-year degree programs along with post-graduate students are eligible to form teams and participate in this competition. Individual students are not eligible as students can only participate in teams.

** This Contest is eligible and open to individuals 18 years and above.
** A team should comprise for 3 students.
** Teams can submit more than one project for evaluation.

** There is no limit on the number of teams from an Institution.
** Before Registration, please ensure you have your team members ready with complete details like Full Name, Email ID, and Mobile Number etc.
** Information provided on the registration form must be true and accurate.
** The I-BIM Competition, Design brief would be available on the I-BIM website on 17th August 2012.
** The teams, who have registered , please take care of your login credentials
** Once a team is registered in the I-BIM Competition its composition cannot be altered in any way.

Workshop would be conducted in nearly 10 cities in India. The list would be available on the registration page. While registering, please select the preferred location for the workshop.
