SECTION – A
Answer any FIVE questions. 5´9 = 45M
1. Deduce an expression for the growth of current in a series RC circuit for a transient input signal.

2. Explain the working of RC integrator and RC differentiator circuits.

3. Discuss frequency response of RL circuit for low pass and high pass circuits

4. State and prove Thevenin’s theorem.

5. What is an electrical network? Discuss node voltage method in a network containing a single source in an arm.

6. Explain the series resonance in LCR circuit and Q-factor.

7. Explain the term power factor and derive an expression for it. When the current is entirely wattless in A.C. circuits.

8. State and and prove Superposition theorem.

Answer any SIX questions from Section – B and Section- C, choosing at least TWO questions from each section. 6´5 = 30M

9. Explain loop current method of analysis in electrical circuits.

10. Explain the time constants of RL and RC circuits.

11. Explain the terms selectivity and band width of a series resonant circuit.

12. Derive the expression for RMS value of alternating current.
