ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I’m a part of 8 member team which works 24/7 as we support critical systems with almost 0% downtime. We take care of the following activities.
- Installing Databases Oracle across versions from 8i/9i/10g/11g depending on the requirement
- Experienced database Migrations from 9.2.0.8.0 to 10.2.0.4.0.
- Upgrading Databases as per the business requirement (To 9.*, 10.*,11.*)
- HOT/COLD backups 
- Resolving Issues on any backup failures
- Attending alerts i.e. Tablespace create / Space add/Invalid Objects/User Grants
- Cloning Databases by using Cold Databases 
- Altering the Redo log files size and so on.
- Good knowledge of SQL Tuning. Finding resource intensive Sql statements and giving
reccommendations to rewrite those queries to developers.
- Experience in performing the recovery of the Oracle database files in various recovery
scenarios and also in restoration of schema objects using the logical backup.
- Involved in Migration of database from older versions to new versions of oracle.
- Experience in Rising TAR (Technical assistance request) to Oracle through METALINK for internal errors.
- Experience in AWR, ADDM, ASH Reports
- Experience in ASSM, ASMM
- Knowledge in Automatic Storage Management
- Experience in RMAN with different Backup Scenarios
