This can be achieved by storing the milk and milk products at low temperatures where the microbial growth is inhibited. This low temperatures conditions can be achieved by the process of refrigeration. Since dairy is a large scale industry a huge refrigeration plant has to be set up in order to reach the expectations. The refrigeration plant has to be properly designed in such a way that there are maximum benefits. The design and working plays a major role in the energy conservation of various other plants. The products manufactured after processing the milk are analyzed for quality before its release into the market. Our main work is the study of design and optimization of the refrigeration plant and assurance of quality of milk products obtained from the processing units which are later stored in low temperatures provided by the refrigeration plant.
