The goal is to preserve stable areas of faulted system. The project includes a detailed study of shortcomings of an interconnected system and perspective of frequency control. The project deals with various islanding schemes practiced and the need of such schemes in the system. It also includes brief overview of load shedding phenomenon after islanding. The project has been made using a microcontroller AT89S52 to show various faulted condition.
