GL ACCOUNTING 
- Supervision of day to-day GL Accounting functions in considerate with US Accounting Laws and Costing Principles.
- Also responsible for monthly closing of books namely,
 
i) Posting of AR, AP entries into Great Plains.
ii) Booking of SG& A and Interest costs into GP.
iii) Booking Depreciation in compliance with Group Depreciation policy in GP.
iv) Review of Bank reconciliation statements.
v) Review of Inventory cost /COGS entry & posting into GP
vi) InventoryM2M entry
vii) Review of Accrual entries of various expenses like barging, wharfage , commission , terminal etc 
 posting into GP.
viii) Inter company reconciliation entries.
 ix) Inter company elimination entries.
- Review of monthly financial numbers , PL and BS schedules and notes forming part of schedules.
- Generation of PL, BS and Inter company and Elimination reconciliation reports from FRX reporting system.
- Co-ordination with auditors.
MI REPORTING 
- Daily Forecast Reporting of PNL numbers for the above regions.
- Reporting monthly Financial numbers for the above regions.
- Reporting the variance month by month & quarter to quarter as well as year to year.
- Reporting ending inventory balances and mark to market values for the above regions which was a source for taking financial decisions like hedging.

i) Inventory Turns ( Tank & Barge turns)
ii) Voyage wise PNL
iii) PNL analysis – Performances analysis of a port for a particular month
iv) Inter location sales to one group for elimination purpose

vii) Port reconciliation report which is basically profit reconciliation.
