Vesicular systems, being Novel Nano-Colloidal Carriers in nature are able to release the drug in controlled and targeted manner to provide a site-specific action with reduced toxicity and adverse effects. Also, due their colloidal nature, they can be passively taken up from the blood stream by macrophages of liver and spleen after i.v. or i.c. administration and hence can be useful for treatment of VL. 2.
