 This project focuses on feasibility study of material handling system, selection of conveyors for cross docking or warehouse operations. Then the design of chain driven power roller conveyor system has been made from the feasibility study analysis using SOLIDWROKS and proposed different layout configuration of conveyors based on the existing material flow inside the warehouse such as receiving, stacking and shipping process. This study also focus on developing a discrete event simulation model of the logistic operations using WITNESS at a real high throughput warehouse which handles 200 tons of cargo per hour.
