CURRICULUM - VITAE Ch.Sivaji Ganesh Email :sivajiganesh9 AT gmail.com M.Sc (Engg.), B.Tech Mechanical Mobile : +91 Objective : A hard working engineer, seeking an opportunity to work and excel in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics, utilise my skills and knowledge towards the mutual growth for the company and for myself. Academics : - M.Sc (Engg.) in Rotating Machinery Design, MSRSAS, (Bangalore) from Coventry University (UK). - B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) – 61.05% from Vignan’s Engineering College, (Guntur) from JNTU University, Hyderabad, A.P. - Intermediate – 86.9% from Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. - S.S.C – 81% from Board of Secondary Education, A.P. Computer Skills : CAE Tools : ICEM CFD, Fluent, CFX, Catia V5, Gambit, Hyper mesh and Ansys. Packages : MS-Word, MS-Power point, MS-Excel. OS : Windows 2000, XP & Vista. Personal Traits & Strengths : - Hard working and ability to work in a team. - Always willing to learn. - Ability to communicate efficiently. - Good Communication & Interpersonal skills and presentation capabilities. - Strong planning and organizing skills. Projects : Title : “Effect of Leading Edge Sweep on the Performance of a Centrifugal Compressor Impeller”, did at MSRSAS, Bangalore. Description : The effects of leading edge sweep on the performance of a centrifugal impeller are numerically investigated. Forward sweep of the leading edge is found to be beneficial to the impeller’s performance, improving the peak efficiency and the operating range. Superior performance of the forward swept blades is due to a weaker shock strength, shock/leakage flow interaction and shock/boundary layer interaction inside the passage. Select the impeller with superior performance and investigate the effect of increased tip clearance. Title : “Development of Micro Gas Turbine using Turbocharger”, did at MSRSAS, Bangalore. Description : The current effort is directed towards the development of a power generation system utilizing the turbocharger as a prime mover. GARRET turbocharger is used. An external combustion chamber is developed based on area optimisation to act as power source. The combustion chamber uses LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) as a fuel source. The chamber is modelled using CATIA V5 and discredited using GAMBIT. Cold flow analyses are carried out using Fluent to predict the flow field and confirm the zones of mixing. After fabricating the combustor, it is integrated to the turbocharger along with starting system (using blower), ignition system (using glow plug based on heater coil), and oil cooling system (based on fuel pump) with proper high temperature sealants. Title : “Calculation of standard time and man power planning by using work measurement technique.” did at Vignan’s Engineering College, Guntur. Description : In this project we extensively review the process of work measurement of a spinning mill. We mainly deal with the basics of work measurement for determining the objectives of developing standard time for the operation and man power planning in the spinning mill. Time study is a structured process of directly observing and measuring human work in order to establish the time required for completion of work by a qualified worker when working at a defined level of performance. Work measurement is the process of establishing the time that a given task would take when performed by a qualified worker working at a defined level of performance. Achievements : - The above Master’s project has been accepted for publication in “37th National and 4th International Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power”, held on December 16 - 18, 2010 in IIT Chennai. (Paper - 546). - The above Master’s project has been published in “SAS Tech Journal”, Volume 9, Issue 2, September 2010.
