A base transreceiver station is a piece of equipment that facilitates wireless communication between user equipment and a network. UEs are devices like mobile phones , WLL phones, computers with wireless internet connectivity, WiFi and WiMAX gadgets etc. BTS, contains the equipment for transmitting and receiving of radio signals (transceivers) The base station subsystem is the section of a traditional cellular network which is responsible for handling traffic and signaling between a mobile phone and the network switching subsystem.
